Its name has origins in ancient Greece which planted the first vines of this vine in the Avellino area.
It is a wine with a bright red color, a broad and complex bouquet, notes of red fruits and spicy hints; balanced and persistent.
Aged in cask for at least 18 months; this is followed by a passage in steel silos for another 18 months.
The nose is fruity and intense; the taste is structured with hints of cherries, plums, vanilla and pepper accompanied by a fine sensation of toasted wood.
For an adequate tasting, its opening implies a prolonged oxygenation in the decanter for at least two hours.
Perfect for pairing with red meats and long cooking sauces.
